Kim Glasgow Obituary

Kim Patrice Glasgow, the beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend made her entrance into the world on May 3, 1960.   Born and raised as Kim Patrice Daniel in Detroit MI, Kim would complete the family of Andrew and Irene Daniel, joining her siblings Brenda, Kenyard “Kenny”, whom she also shared her birthday with, Deborah “Debbie” and Angie.

Kim received all her formal education within the Detroit Public School system, graduating from Mumford High School in 1978.  Jumping directly into the workforce afterward, Kim found herself taking jobs with NBD Bank and PG Assco before devoting her life to becoming a loving wife and mother.   Kim’s divine spirit led her to receiving Christ into her life at the Friendship Baptist Church in Columbia, SC and her outgoing personality, kindhearted nature, and love for helping others allowed her to meet many people along the way that she considered near and dear to her heart, including the love of her life, her husband Reginald Bernard Glasgow, whom she affectionally referred to as “Big”.

Kim and Reginald married in Columbia, South Carolina on her birthday in 1985, and they would go on to share 36 years of happy memories together.  After welcoming their sons, Reginald Bernard “Lil Reggie” and Andrew B. “Drew”, Kim and Reginald would later become loving grandparents and travel buddies that explored many states around the world due to Reginald’s job as a truck driver.  Telling her stories of all the places that she visited proudly, Kim embraced the moments that she got to share by her husband’s side.

As her health began to decline, Kim managed to always stay in good spirits, never missing the opportunity to share a laugh or a good joke with those around her, including her grandchildren.  Whether it was at a family barbecue where she teased with Drew to “not burn the meat” or if she was just at home enjoying one of her favorite tv shows or movies, Kim forever kept a smile on her face.

On December 26, 2021, the Lord decided that it was time to reunite his angel with those already in his arms.  Kim’s strength showed through to the very end as she was welcomed into heaven by her mother, father, brother and sisters Debbie and Angie.   Her memory will forever be cherished and adored by those that she left behind including her husband Reginald; sons Reginald II(Beyanka) and Andrew; beloved grandchildren Adreana, Drew-Ann, Audrie, Ann-Dree and Princess; sister Brenda; sister-in-law Pamela Glasgow-Courts of South Carolina; sister-in-law Peri Goodwin(Michael) of South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who share nothing but happy memories of her.
